I am so sorry to see that my dear friend Hortense has passed away. We met when she was at Fairchild Air Force Base in Washington. She taught me to knit at my young age of 21. I still remember being frustrated with my mistakes. She made me take them out and do it again. I will miss my yearly Christmas cards that I have received since the early 1970's.
