Born October 8, 1969 passed on January 15, 2020 surrounded by her family and friends. Lena was born in Norwalk, CT to her mother Sylvia Dixon and father Eddie Allen (Predeceased). Lena graduated from Brien McMahon High School in 1988 in Norwalk, CT. She received her Associates Degree in Accounting from Norwalk Community College. Lena worked for the City of Norwalk in the Comptroller’s Office, for 30 years, as the Payroll Supervisor. She expressed her desire to study the Bible and become one of Jehovah's Witnesses. Lena is treasured by her daughter Cierra Tatem whom she shares with Derrick Tatem. She supported her daughter’s educational goals of obtaining her Master’s degree in Public Administration. Lena was a generous spirit who would selflessly help out anyone with a need. She loved her family being a protector and nurturer to all her relatives. Lena was also the mini matriarch to her younger siblings and cousins. Lena loved to travel, read, double-dutch, listen to soul music and eat crab legs. She was known for her style in fashion and recognized as a trendsetter. She is survived by her sisters Tyvinia (Bobby) Vassell of Waterbury, CT. Starr Dixon and Donshay Eldemire of Bridgeport, CT. Roberta (Dannie) Samuel and KaTinah (Sylmar) Allen-Brim of Norwalk, CT. As well as, her brother Randy Dixon, Jr. Predeceased by her beloved grandparents Clarence and Eartha Hilliard of Santee, SC. She is commended by her nieces Leslie Reynolds, Nyaisa Dixon, Alessia Harvey, Atiyana Harvey, Zuri Anderson and nephew Marcus Vassell. She is preserved by her special cousin Tawana Joyner and friend Lola Phillips along with a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Her lively attitude, positive values and rare strength will forever be remembered and existent through her loved ones. The family will receive friends on Friday, January 24, 2020 from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. at the Hoyt-Cognetta/Raymond Funeral Home, 5 East Wall Street. In Historic Norwalk.
