Helen Lewis Meredith age 81 entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, March 20, 2019 in Norwalk, Connecticut.  She was born August 09, 1937 to the late Jewell Holland and Marie Cooper in Belleville Georgia.  Helen was a Norwalk resident for more than 40 years and then moved to New Haven to be closer to her Church.

She married Emmett Lewis, Sr in Norwalk, Connecticut in 1959 and had two children. In her later years she married Apostle Willie Meredith.  She was a loving Mother and very out- going. She worked as a CNA for more than 40 years and loved taking care of the elderly.  She had a very caring heart and was always giving of herself, especially when it came down to caring for her children.  She was a member of The United House of Prayer for All People from a very young age.  She served on the Queen Board at The United House of Prayer in New Haven for many years.

Helen is survived by four children, Rosemarie Holland, Deborah Bradley (Alan), Emmett L. Lewis, Jr and Christopher Lewis (Janice).  She is also survived by her siblings Ivory Holland (Argene), Jerry Holland (Yvonne), Jimmy Holland, Arletha Lanier  (Curtis) and Joseph Holland and one Aunt, Roni Cooper.  She has seven Grandchildren Anthony Holland, Kendra Bullock, Angela Holland, Travis Holland, Helena Holland, Christopher Lewis, Jr. and Crystal Lee Lewis and a host of relatives and friends.

She is pre-deceased by her first Husband Emmett Lewis, Sr and her brothers Jewell Holland, Jr., Troy, W L and Willie Lewis Holland and Sisters Emily, Geraldine and Bobbie Jean Holland
