Obituary of Jack Imhoff
Please share a memory of Jack to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Jack Imhoff passed away at home with his family beside him. He leaves behind his wife, daughter and granddaughter. He was a loving husband to Jennifer Davis Imhoff for over 40 years. He was a proud father to his daughter Carly Owen Levine and her husband Brian Levine. And he was a new grandfather to adorable Rachel Owen Levine. He also leaves behind his niece Megan Legault and her husband Cory Legault and nephews John O’Marra and Owen O’Marra, brother in law John O’Marra and sister in laws Susan Cincotta and her husband Stephen Cincotta and Lynn Aldrich.
He is predeceased by his parents John Imhoff Sr and Dorothy (Dot) Owen Imhoff and his loving sister Janice O’Marra.
Jack’s passion was the Law. As a sole practitioner, he was a tough lawyer, working hard to defend his clients. He took on many pro bono cases and later in his practice became a Special Public Defender. He was also admitted to The Supreme Court of the US.
He was a graduate of Brian McMahon High School, Norwalk Community College, the University of New Haven and Cleveland State University.
Jack grew up with a love of boating, spending summers on the JI. He was an avid Giants fan with nosebleed seats at Giants Stadium. He enjoyed golfing with friends, one of his favorite courses being at Basin Harbor in VT, and camping with his family. He loved reading. History books and books about Abraham Lincoln were his favorites. And he loved his dogs, especially his husky Denali.
Thank you to Regional Hospice (Danbury) and to the Home Companion Services of Schoke Jewish Family Services (Stamford) for their amazing support. A special thank you to Giradine Innocent and Danielle Bros from Home Companion Services.
