Marion H. Berglund, 94, long-time resident of Norwalk and most recently of Canaan, CT, passed away peacefully on July 5th. A graveside memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 13, 2024 at 10:30am at Riverside Cemetery, 81 Riverside Avenue, Norwalk, CT. For further information or to send a message of condolence, please contact Raymond Funeral Home at www.norwalkfh.com. A celebration of Marion’s life will be held at a later date. Marion, daughter of John and Marie Hadik, was born and raised in Norwalk, CT where she met her husband, Arthur F. Berglund, Sr., also a long-time resident of Norwalk. They graduated from Norwalk High School in 1947, were married in 1952, and in 1968 moved to Silvermine. They were active members of the community, the Norwalk Boat Club, and various antique and classic automobile clubs and organizations. She was a loving and caring mother and wife and enjoyed cooking, gardening, and travel. She attended St. Jerome’s Roman Catholic Church in Norwalk. Marion will be fondly remembered by her family, many friends, and all the people she touched throughout her life. The beloved wife of her late husband, Arthur, she was also the loving mother of son Thomas A. Berglund and his wife Rosemarie Fiorilli and her son Arthur F. Berglund, Jr. She is also survived by her grandson Arthur F. Berglund, III and his wife Emily Berglund and great-grandson, Grayson, and her granddaughter Michele Berglund, her husband Michael Gurnari, and great-granddaughter, Amelia. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Marion’s memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or Geer Village Foundation.
