In loving memory of Joseph Lawrence Burden, who passed away peacefully in Hamden, CT on Tuesday, February 13th, 2024, at the age of 76. Joseph was born February 10th, 1948, in Norwalk, CT.

While Joseph dedicated himself to his work, and would consider himself a workaholic, his heart was always with his family and friends, who were touched by his enduring love and boundless kindness in every moment shared together.

A man of diverse interests and passions, Joseph found solace in the pages of western novels, the rhythm of a tennis match, telling stories, and spending time with friends and family.

Joseph is survived by his devoted wife, Linda, his son George Burden, born of his second marriage to Georgina, who carries on his legacy with pride; and his children Lawrence Burden and Ebonique Faria, from his first marriage to Deatrice, who will forever hold his memory close to their hearts.

Friends and loved ones are invited to pay their respects during the visitation at Keenan Funeral Home, located at 238 Elm Street, West Haven, on Thursday, February 22nd, from 5 PM to 7 PM. A memorial service honoring Joseph's life will commence at 7 PM, offering an opportunity to celebrate the profound impact he had on those around him. Joseph will be laid to rest on Friday, February 23rd, at 10 AM at Riverside Cemetery in Norwalk, CT, where he will find eternal peace beneath the canopy of his beloved hometown.

Joseph's legacy of love, laughter, and kindness will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him, forever remembered and deeply missed.
