Obituary

Mrs. Geraldine "Gerry" Wiggins entered into eternal rest on Monday, January 22, 2024, at home. She was born in Orangeburg, South Carolina on September 30,1959, to the late Daniel Davis Sr. and Shirley Davis. She attended Brien McMahon High School in Norwalk, CT. Geraldine a long-time resident of Norwalk was employed in the healthcare field until 2012. She was a loving mother, daughter, grandmother, aunt, sister and friend.

Geraldine was a woman of unwavering faith who loved the Lord, her family, church, and community. She was a long time member of House of Prophecies and Prayer under the spiritual guidance of Pastor Sadie Miles. She had a zest for life, was funny and was known for her witty personality and infectious smile that welcomed all. She was an avid fan of wresting and a lover of shopping and sales. Her favorite question to ask others was "How you feel?", and when asked back, she would enthusiastically respond, "I feel right nice".

Geraldine leaves to cherish her loving memories, her husband, William A. Wiggins; two daughters, Erica S. Wiggins of Bridgeport, CT, Shakita Leach of Norwalk, CT; one son, Emanuel A. Wiggins of Stamford, CT; two sisters, Tanya Reid of New Jersey, Malika (Glenn) Brown of Norwalk, CT; four brothers, William (Diana) Davis of New Jersey, Curtis (Kimberly) Davis of North Carolina, Daniel (Katherine) Davis Jr. of South Carolina, Jamaal Hill of Norwalk, CT; one sister-in-law, Deborah (Carl) Mcclain Manning of Williamston, NC; five brother-in-laws, Greg (Denise) Lee of Williamston, NC, Robert (Nicole) Wiggins of Augusta, GA, Andrew Wiggins of Williamston, NC, Roger (Valeria) Lee of Williamston, NC, Jeff Lee of Hinesville, GA; three grandchildren, A'Shonti Adgerson, Zaire Teabout, Kaidyn Hilliard; one goddaughter, Faith Hawkins, and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends. Geraldine was predeceased by her father Daniel Davis Sr.; brother, Danny Welfare; father-in-law, William Lee; mother-in-law, Lear Lee Wiggins; and brother-in-law, David Wiggins.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 3, 2024, at 9:00 AM, House of Prophecies and Prayer, 2 Berkeley Street, Norwalk, CT. Family will receive friends from 8:00 AM until time of service at the church. Interment will take place at Riverside Cemetery, 81 Riverside Avenue, Norwalk, CT.
