Andrew "Jack" Scheuer Obituary Andrew Scheuer, better known as "Jack" to friends and family, passed away December 31 in Norwalk. He was the son of the late Andrew J Scheuer and Velma Chontos Scheuer. Jack retired from Howard Johnsons after 20 years of service in Automatic Merchandising. He traveled up and down the East coast and eventually became Director of Operations for Connecticut. He retired to Deltona Shores for a short period of time, before returning to Connecticut to take care of his parents. Jack loved Florida, and continued to go there several times a year. Jack loved the game of golf, and played it from a young age, often with his parents. They played at Silvermine Golf Club for many years. When he wasn't golfing, he could be found fishing with his parents out on the Sound. Once they finished fishing, they would retire to the South Norwalk Boat Club, where they had been members for over 50 years. As he got older, he developed a love for painting, especially watercolors. He would often paint on his trips to the Cape with his dear cousin Lee Ellen. Jack is survived by his niece, Nancy Dayton, of Canton, Georgia and her family, his cousin Lee Ellen Chontos of Seymour and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He will be missed. Graveside services will be held on Friday, January 5 at 1:30PM at Riverside Cemetery, 81 Riverside Ave, Norwalk.
