Nancy K. Bardos passed away peacefully at Norwalk Hospital on October 26th, 2023 surrounded by her family and friends. Born on March 15th, 1937 to the late Francis X. Kirmayer and Helen (Sculley) Kirmayer, Nancy was a lifelong Norwalk resident. A 1955 graduate of Norwalk High School, it was there where Nancy met her soulmate William (Bill) Bardos. The two would marry in 1959 and remain wed for nearly 65 years. Soon after they wed Bill answered his nations call to service and the couple moved to Germany for Bill's 2 year deployment with The Army. Upon their return to Norwalk Nancy began her 40 year career as a Dental Hygienist. Nancy's passion was cheering on her three grandchildren at their various sporting events. She was their biggest fan and enjoyed attending their competitions both near and far. She also had a love for her plants to which she tended to daily throughout her home. Nancy also enjoyed the outdoors, whether it be boating, skiing, hiking, or daily walks at Calf Pasture Beach with her husband Bill. Nancy is survived by her husband William, her two sons William and Peter Bardos, and three grandchildren Jake, Samantha, and Troy Bardos all of Norwalk. She is also survived by her sister Marie (Kirmayer) Oravez of Norwalk, and her brother John Kirmayer of Fairfield, along with many nieces and nephews. A graveside service was held at Riverside Cemetery in Norwalk on November 2nd where Nancy's life was celebrated by family and friends.
