Martha Tsombanidis February 17, 1933- September 25, 2023 Martha Tsombanidis, 90, of Norwalk, CT passed away on Monday September 25, 2023 peacefully with her family by her side. She lived a fulfilled life of 90 years with her family as her main focus. She was born to the late Dimitrios & Sophia Tiftikidis on February 17, 1933 in Mesovouno Nomo Kozani. She was predeceased by her father Dimitrios, mother Sophia and siblings Sonia, Kostas, Pavlos & Melana. She is also predeceased by the love of her life her husband Christos of whom spent 72 wonderful years together. She is survived by her five children Efthimios Tsombanidis, Spiros Tsombanidis (Evmorfia), Katina Andreadis (Elias), Pavlos Tsombanidis (Ipatea) & Ersaia Tsombanidis. Eleven grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. She emigrated to the United States with her husband and children on June 11, 1966 where they started a new life in Norwalk, CT. She enjoyed spending time with her family, tending to her garden and her flowers and spending time on the beach. She will be remembered for her strong witty personality, her love for her family and caring nature. She always made those around her feel comfortable. She will be deeply missed by her loved ones. Funeral services will be held on Friday September 29, 2023 at 11 am directly at St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 238 West Rocks Road Norwalk. A brief visitation will be held from 10 until 11 am.Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery. The Raymond Funeral Home in Historic Norwalk has been entrusted with arrangements.
