Athanasia Poulopoulos, beloved mother, grandmother and wife, of Norwalk, died on June 26, 2023 at the age of 96. Born in Greece, the daughter of Yianni and Panayiota (Tzeleki) Voutieros, she was predeceased by her loving husband Basilios just a year ago, in addition to two sisters, Sophia and Eleni. She enjoyed cooking, especially Sunday night dinners that the whole family attended every week. Loved walking miles around Calf Pasture Beach with her friends and was an avid gardener with a green thumb for growing fruits and vegetables. Athanasia worked at the Holson Company until her retirement and was an active member of the St. George Greek Orthodox Church and a volunteer of the Philoptochos Society. She is survived by her daughter Georgia Firman and son-in-law William Firman, son Kosta Poulopoulos and daughter-in-law Eileen Lenihan Poulopoulos and grandchildren Nikole, Rene, Basil, Ava and predeceased by her grandson Victor. She is also survived by her brother Taki Voutieros of Montreal and sister Sotiria Tsopelas of Toronto. Funeral services will be held at 9:30AM on Saturday, July 1, at St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 238 West Rocks Rd, Norwalk, with burial to follow at Riverside Cemetery.
