Obituary of Marie Lopez

Marie Lopez, 72, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend entered into eternal life on April 15, 2023 after a long battle with complications due to diabetes. A lifelong resident of the Bronx, Marie was born on May 13th, 1950 to the late Michael and Catherine Robilotta. Marie worked for many years as an account services representative for Verizon in Brooklyn, Manhattan, and the Bronx, and was very active with the Pioneers organization, volunteering many hours to help with toy drives and other charitable efforts. Outside of work, Marie loved to spend time with family and friends, especially at the beach or traveling to warm, sunny locations. Marie is survived by her loving daughter Diane Watkinson, son-in-law (Bill), and granddaughter (Catie), along with her brother Michael Robilotta and sister Lillian Torrence. Marie is also survived by her sister-in-law Karen Robilotta, nephews Michael and Christopher Robilotta, and nieces Laura Bianco and Jessica Pereira. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, April 20th from 4:00pm-7:00pm with a funeral service on Friday, April 21st at 10am, both at Collins Funeral Home in Norwalk. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery, 81 Riverside Ave, Norwalk, CT. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude's Research in Marie’s memory.
