Obituary of Alton Smith Jr.

Alton L. "Worm" Smith Jr., age 83, passed away peacefully on October 31, 2022 at Norwalk Hospital. He was born on August 13, 1939 in Norwalk, Connecticut to the late Alton L. Smith Sr. and Helen Smith. He was employed at Dolce International until the time of his retirement. He was an active member of Grace Baptist Church of Norwalk, CT. His memory will be cherished by three sons; Ronald Smith, Alton P. Smith III, Rodney Smith, two daughters; Stacey Davis, Michelle Smith, 11 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, one brother; James Hunt, three sisters; Carlin Walker, Barbara Jackson, Shirley (Michael) Preston and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He is predeceased by his wife; Joyce E. Smith, a son; Anthony Davis, a daughter: Renee Davis; a grandson; Michael Robinson; two brothers; Pompey Smith, Lenwood Smith, two sisters; Margaret Johnson and Patricia E. Smith. Viewing will be held on Saturday November 5th, 2022 from 9:00AM – 10:00AM followed by a service of celebration at 10:00AM at Grace Baptist Church, 17 West Ave., Norwalk, CT. Officiating: Rev. Dr. Lindsay E. Curtis. Interment will be private.
