Audrey J. Kanner, age 68 of Bridgeport, CT, died at the Bridgeport Hospital on August 29, 2022. She was the wife of the late Howard S. Kanner. Audrey was born in Norwalk on March 4, 1954, the daughter of the late Nicholas J. and Ruth (Sonntag) Russo. She received her undergraduate degree from UCONN and her master’s degree from Sacred Heart University. Audrey worked for both Pepperidge Farm and People’s Bank and retired because of health reasons in 2004. She was also a longtime and original member of “The Peeps”.

Audrey is survived by her sister Karen Sochon and her husband Richard, her nephews Dale and Christopher Russo, her sister-in-law Judith Fogg, dear friends Marianne Perkins and Marsha Stabler and many Sonntag and Russo cousins. She was also predeceased by her brother Paul Russo.

Funeral services will be held at the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Ave., Norwalk, CT on Tuesday, September 6, at 11 AM with burial to follow at Riverside Cemetery. There are no visiting hours. Donations in Audrey’s name may be made to a local animal rescue organization.
