E. Audrey S. Gerrish, age 97, passed away peacefully at her home at the Marvin in East Norwalk. Audrey was the daughter of the late Abbie Ett and Fred Schneider. She was born April 1, 1925 in Neptune City, NJ and after the death of her father she moved to Connecticut with her mother. After graduating Norwalk High School she was employed by Nash Engineering and maintained friendships with her co-workers until her death. Audrey was a loving caregiver to many members of her family and then returned to work as receptionist at the doctors office of Farber, Irrea & Schiraldi MD. She was a long time member of the First United Methodist Church in South Norwalk.

Audrey was predeceased by her husband of 56 years; Donald A. Gerrish. They resided in South Norwalk on Allview Ave. for more than 50 years. She was also predeceased by her three older sisters, Emma Schneider, Thelma Henion and Evelyn Thompson, as well as four nephews and two nieces.

She is survived by her caregivers; great nephew Scott Henion, great niece and godchild, Diane V. Malone plus many other great-great and great-great-great nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to a funeral service on Friday August 5, 2022 10:00 to 11:00 am visitation at the Raymond Funeral Home, 5 East Wall Street in Historic Norwalk, There will be a prayer service at 11:00 am with Rev.
