James A. Mejia, 96 of New Milford CT passed away on July 10, 2022 at his home surrounded by family. He was married to Lilia Mejia for 66 years.

James was born on March 4, 1926 in Latacunga, Ecuador to the late Joseph and Delia (Segovia).

Among his survivors are his children Sandra Mejia of New Milford, Eugenia del Carmen Mejia Lopez of Ecuador, Richard Mejia of Florida, his grandchildren Shannon, Chemero and Emily Mejia and a brother Joseph Mejia of New York. James was predeceased by a sister, Ruth Augdow and a grand-daughter Stephanie Chemero.

Friends and family can meet directly at St. Marguerite’s Church in Brookfield for a Mass at 9:30am Friday, July 15, 2022. Burial will follow at the Riverside Cemetery in Norwallk. Lillis Funeral Home 58 Bridge Street, New Milford, CT has care of the arrangements.
