Stella Haygood passed away peacefully on June 23, 2022 at Saint John Paul II Center. She was born on November 5, 1930 in Hanceville, Alabama to Verble Bevels and Odessa Johnson Bevels. Mrs. Haygood was predeceased by her husband Harrison Haygood, Sr. Her memory will be cherished by her daughter; Rosetta Phillips, three sons; Harrison Haygood, Jr. (Jackie), John Haygood and James Haygood, nineteen grandchildren, twenty five great grandchildren, six great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mrs. Haygood was also predeceased by two daughters; Mildred Harrod and Belinda Haygood, three siblings; Bobbie Williams, Verble “Bunice” Bevels and Earnest Bevels. Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 2, 2022 from 9:00 am – 10:00 am, followed by a service of celebration at 10:00 am at Canaan Institutional Baptist Church, 31 Concord St., Norwalk, CT. with Rev. Roosevelt Ewell officiating. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery, Norwalk.
