Frederick J. Roberg Obituary

Frederick (Fred) J. Roberg, a long-time resident of Stamford, passed away on Sunday, March 13, 2022, surrounded by his loving family. He was born 89 years ago in Stamford, CT born to the late Philip and Ilona Roberg.


In Stamford he met his wife, Betty Roberg, and raised two children. An ardent photographer, he always had his camera ready and had worked for studios and newspapers early in his career. Fred had worked for many companies and owned Custom Copy Center for 20 years. Even after retiring, he kept active with temp and part-time work.


Fred was active in the North Stamford Exchange Club and Turn Of River Church. Throughout his life, Fred and Betty traveled to Canada, Wildwood, Hawaii, the Southwest, Florida, and Cape Cod.


He is predeceased by his wife, parents and his sister, Anita Hughes, of Lake Arthur, LA. Fred is survived by his son, Larry Roberg, daughter-in-law Joanne Jeris, his daughter, Nancy Sciglimpaglia, son-in-law, Steve Sciglimpaglia, and two grandsons, Alex and Andrew Sciglimpaglia. He is also survived by a nephew and two nieces and their families.
