Obituary of Panagila Togridis

Panagila Togridis, 89, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 13, 2022 at her home. She was the loving wife of the late Dimitrios Togridis. Born June 8, 1932 in Greece; the daughter of the late Elefterios and Ourania (Tsachouridou) Papdopoulous. Panagila loved walking her dog, eating ice cream and enjoying time with her family. She was a hard worker and worked for many years at Dooney & Bourke Factory and Continental Manor as well. She will be deeply missed. She is survived by her beloved children, Sonia Anastasopoulos and husband Peter of Winsted and Anastasio Togridis of Winsted; cherished grandchildren, Dimitra Anastasopoulos, George Anastasopoulos, Panagiota Anastasopoulos and Panagiota Togridis; two sisters, Sofia Nikolaou of Australia and Despina Mavropoulou of Greece; many nieces, nephews and extended family. She also leaves her absolute favorite, Beemer, her dog. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her siblings, Kiriaki Kourpouanidou, Achileas Papadopoulos, Odiseas Papadopoulos and Sonia Papadopoulos. Funeral Liturgy will be held on Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 238 W Rocks Road, Norwalk, CT at 11 AM. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery, Norwalk.
