Obituary of John Edward Darden

John Edward Darden age 57, entered into eternal rest on Friday, December 30, 2021. Brother John Edward Darden transitioned from this life after a brief on December 30, 2021, peacefully with the family at ST. Vincent Hospital Bridgeport, CT. John Edward Darden was born on July 28, 1964, to the late Russell and Ethel Darden of Norwalk, CT. John received his formal training from the Star, Inc. program of Norwalk, CT. John adored and enjoyed the opportunity to be a part of the program. In 2013 John became a resident of Titterton Drive Group Home in Stratford, CT., where he became a loving member of the family. They provide many outlets and activities that John really enjoyed participating in. John favorite love was watching “The Knight Rider” and pretending driving and escaping from the bad guys. He had a profound way of tuning someone out when his favorite show was on. John acquired a special love for wrestling and swimming and could never get enough of them. It was amazing how he developed such a skill and passion for both. John felled in love with coming to church; watching the Choirs sing and the musicians play the instruments. He learned how to play the drums and was thrilled when he was allowed to play them. The music was a tremendous excitement for him and gave him a wonderful sense of peace. John leaves to cherish his loving memory five sisters, Dorothy, and Shirley Darden both of Norwalk, CT., Patricia (William) Boyd, Bridgeport, Ct., Libby (William) Seabrooks of Bridgeport, CT., Connie (James) Ables of Augustus, GA., one Aunt Elmira Wilson of Durham, NC., and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. John was predeceased in death by his parents Russell and Ethel Darden, one Aunt Elnore Green and one nephew Keith Butler. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, January 13, 2022 at 10:15 AM, Canaan Institutional Baptist Church, 31 Concord Street, Norwalk, CT. Family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until time of the service at the church. Interment will take place at Riverside Cemetery, 81 Riverside Avenue, Norwalk, CT.
