Obituary for Pearlena W Davis Pearlena Whitaker Davis, 85, transitioned on June 27, 2021, with her family by her side at Norwalk Hospital. She was born on April 4, 1936 in Camden, South Carolina to the late Ross Whitaker and Rachel Keyes Whitaker. Mrs. Davis was predeceased by her husband Horace Davis, Sr. She retired from Caldor Executive Offices after numerous years of service. She devoted much of her time and love as a caregiver to her family and community at large. Her memory will be treasured by three daughters; Valerie D. Wills (Oscar), Kathlyn Corley (Edward) and Paula Davis, three sons; Elton Davis (Sharon), Dwight Davis and Charles Davis (Alima), three sisters; Christina White, Phyllis Harrison and Barbara Glover (Alonzo), five godchildren; Paul Williams, Lori Savage, Melissa Joyner, Sonia Tubman and Crystal Ellis and a host of loving grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mrs. Davis was predeceased by her daughter Ernestine Williams, son, Horace Davis, Jr., siblings Ross Whitaker, Jr., Rosezina McClendon, Thelma Williams and Mary E. McHoney. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 6, 2021 from 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm followed by a service of celebration at 6:00 pm at Canaan Institutional Baptist Church, 31 Concord St., Norwalk, CT. with Rev. Roosevelt Ewell officiating. Interment will be private. Services entrusted to Graves Medley Funeral Services.
