Obituary of Robert Velme

Robert “Bob” Velme, 79, died on Sunday, June 6, 2021 at his home in Norwalk. Born in Riga, Latvia, son of the late Robert and Olga Velme, he was also predeceased by his wife, Georgette and his brother Nicholas Velme. He had retired from SNET, where he worked as a lineman, and more recently installing fiber optic cable at Norwalk Community College and around town.
He is survived by his sons, Robert, Richard and Michael Velme, as well as10 cherished grandchildren; Jenna, Marissa, Daniel, Christopher, Nico, Erica, Matthew, Abby, Reynaldo and April.
His Memorial Service will be streamed via Zoom on Wednesday, June 16, beginning at 6 PM, sermon begins at 6:30. (More info to follow.) Memorial donations may be made to: Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness, 126 Newtown Avenue, Norwalk, CT 06851.
