Obituary for Patricia Evonne Smith Patricia E Smith fell asleep in death on Friday, April 2, 2021 at Norwalk Hospital surrounded by family. Patricia was born August 18, 1948 in Norwalk, Connecticut to the late Alton and Helen Smith. Patricia graduated from Brien McMahon High School in 1966. Patricia retired from Norwalk Community College in 2009 after working there for 25 years. She was greatly respected and loved for her swag and her walk. She was a member of Jehovah’s Witnesses of Norwalk since being baptized on March 6, 1971. Patricia is predeceased by her husband, Charles E. Smith Jr. of Norwalk. They enjoyed a 43year courtship and marriage. Patricia is survived by her children, Karen Y. (Efrain) Calzada of West Warwick, RI, Charles E. (Keisha) Smith, III of Upper Marlboro, MD, and Tracey L. Smith of Norwalk, CT; siblings, James Hunt of Port Royal, SC, Alton Smith, Jr. of Norwalk, CT, Carlin Walker of Shelton, CT, Barbara Jackson of Bridgeport, CT, and Shirley (Michael) Preston of Norwalk, CT. She also leaves to cherish her memories with 12 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Predeceased by her sister, Margaret Johnson, brother, Pompey Smith, and brother, Lenwood Smith. Calling hours will be held from 11AM – 12PM on Thursday, April 8, 2021 at Graves Medley Funeral Services 31 Stillwater Ave. Stamford, CT. Live Streaming will take place via Graves Medley Funeral Services Facebook Account. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery, Norwalk, CT. Memorial talk will be held on Saturday April 10, 2021 at 1 PM via Zoom.
