Obituary of Jacob R Greene

Please share a memory of Jacob to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Jacob Reuben Greene, 25, of Bridgeport and Norwalk left this earth on January 21, 2021 to go to a more peaceful place. Devoted son of Laurie Walters Greene of Bridgeport and Thomas Greene of Las Vegas NV, Jacob spent most of his life in Norwalk. Jacob loved to cook and made the best omelets around. He loved to grill hamburgers outside for his friends and family and he especially loved to eat “pink stuff” a family Thanksgiving tradition. He liked to try weird foods and loved sushi. In his early teenage years, Jacob spent hours at the skate park at Calf Pasture Beach. He owned several skateboards and truly enjoyed the sport. He also attended a youth group and participated in a fast for 37 hours to bring attention to world hunger. Jacob had a great sense of humor and his giggle was infectious. He had a soft and gentle heart and was not afraid to cry and show his emotions. Everyone knew Jacob, kids and adults alike. Once you met him, he became part of your life. He made a lasting impression on everyone he came in contact with. Survivors include his Mother, Laurie Walters Greene of Bridgeport, his Father, Thomas Greene of Las Vegas NV, brother Thomas Greene Jr. of Salina, KS, sister Taylor Gertrude Greene of Bridgeport, maternal grandparents Jane Walters and Patrick Fee of Norwalk and paternal grandparents Philip and Barbara Scire of Las Vegas, NV. Due to COVID, a graveside service will be held at 11:00 on Wednesday, January 27 at Riverside Cemetery in Norwalk. Friends and family may begin arriving to pay respects at 10:00. A celebration of life will be planned for a later date.
