Linda P. Pollard-Ferguson was born on November 19th 1959 in Norwalk, CT and transitioned on Saturday, December 5th, 2020 at her home. She was the daughter of the late Frederick Pollard Sr. and Albertha Williams. Linda was a habitual and adult reader. She loved books and doing research. Linda ran track for Norwalk High School and won many ribbons, medals, and trophies. Linda’s hard work and dedication to her studies had her advanced to taking college courses and graduated from high school ahead of her class. Linda attended Norwalk Community College where she received her Associates degree in Early Childhood Education. She then transferred to Southern Connecticut State University to pursue her bachelor's in early childhood education. Linda started her teaching career in 1988 with the New Haven Board of Education Early Childhood Center as a teacher and then transferred to the Welter Elementary School. She then went to work with children with special needs at East Rock Community School. Linda’s last teaching assignment was at Dunbar Elementary School in Bridgeport. Linda gave of herself unselfishly and instilled values and principles with nurturing love to all the children she taught no matter the race or nationality. Linda packed lunches for children that we hungry, gave to the homeless either in frigid temperatures or scorching hot temperatures. Linda also provide clothes, and shared her books as well. Linda started her walk with Christ when she was eighteen years old. Her bold courageous and genuine love for God was exuberated throughout her journey. She became a missionary at Miracle Temple COGIC under Dr. Joseph D. Clemmons. she then joined New Vision International Ministries where she was an intercessor and imitator of the Life ministry which was and has been inspirational to many women. Linda’s unconditional love for her family was beyond what any children and husband could ask for. A faithful wife and full time mother, and a sports grandmother to her only grandson. Linda taught her daughter how to be a supermom, and her son how to conduct organization and business management skills. Her grandson respect, honor, and manners, and a husband she always stood by. Linda was your all around G.O.A.T mom. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at 11:00 AM, New Vision International Ministries, 35 Benham Ave, Bridgeport, CT. Family will receive guest from 10:00 AM until time of service at the church.
