Obituary of Daniel Abraham

Please share a memory of Daniel to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Daniel Abraham was born into this world on July 9th of 1934, to Dan Abraham, Sr. and Frazelia Abraham in Santee, South Carolina. As a teenager he moved to Washington, DC for a few years before finding his way to Connecticut with his uncles, the Burden Brothers. He settled in on Hamilton Avenue in Norwalk and soon began working at Fairfield Rubber Company. Over the years, Daniel worked several jobs, most notably as a welder for Metro North where he eventually retired. Affectionately called Buster and sometimes Danny Boy, Daniel had a love for people and would always show up for family anytime he was called to give a ride, to have something repaired, or to set things in order. Daniel loved to have fun and could most frequently be found at a card table playing spades and other card games. He enjoyed fishing, partying and dancing, and was well known as a die-hard Washington Red Skins fan. Later in his life, he began to venture out and was blessed to travel to Scotland with his best friend, John. On the evening of Tuesday, May 5th 2020 at Bridgeport Hospital, Daniel entered eternal rest. Daniel leaves to cherish his memories his brothers: Joseph Abraham of Bridgeport, CT and Philip Abraham (Christine) of Norwalk, CT; his children, Shirley Abraham of Norwalk, CT, Wanda Abraham of Norwalk, CT, Kenneth Abraham (Michelle) of Norwalk, CT, and Daniel Abraham, III of Bridgeport, CT; his stepson, Barry Goodwin; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents, Dan and Frazelia Abraham; his daughter, Cynthia Murphy, as well as his sisters: Rose Locke and Redell White. The family will host a small private memorial at a later date.
