Shayna Kris Smith,51, of Dallas, Tx passed away peacefully in her home in Norwalk Connecticut on March 27, 2020. Shayna was a graduate of Southern Methodist University in Dallas and relocated to Manhattan soon after.
Shayna loved everything about the city. She enjoyed an exciting career working for the Archdiocese of New York, Bridgewater Associates, and her favorite the trading room floor. Shayna was a force to be reckoned with.  She was truly one of a kind.  The sharpest wit, yet the most tender heart. Effortlessly stylish and elegant, sometimes on a dime. She loved words, and had a way with them. She was strong, and fought adversity with heart.
She lived a full and exciting life and has now joined her mother in heaven. She is survived by her father Leo Smith, sister Lauri Olson, niece Skylar Olson, and nephews Lex Smith, brother-in-law David Olson and many heartbroken friends.
Due to the Covid-19 health crisis, a private graveside service will be held at Riverside Cemetery in Norwalk, where she will be laid to rest. Our family deeply appreciates your kind words of sympathy, love and support during this difficult time.
