Pastor Sylvester Williamson, 76, of Norwalk, Connecticut entered into eternal rest on Monday March 30, 2020 at Norwalk Hospital. Born July 23, 1943 in Florence, South Carolina, he was the son of the late Douglas A. Williamson, and Pearl (Hall) Williamson. Pastor Williamson served faithfully as the Pastor of Holy Temple Church of God in Christ for twenty-four years. He was passionate about his faith and sharing the gospel message with everyone he met. Pastor Williamson was also a respected bus driver for the First Student Bus Company; he loved driving the bus and ensuring the safety of his passengers each day. He also loved his family dearly and enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. He is survived by his three children Stephen (Maxine) of Waterbury, CT, Jeffrey (Aleasa) of Chicago Heights, and Karen (Darrick) Eason of Norwalk, CT, fourteen loving grandchildren, two brothers, five sisters, and many nieces, nephews, and extended family. A memorial service will be held in his honor at a future date. The Williamson Family would like to give a special thank you to the Doctors and Nurses at the Norwalk Hospital for their loving care and support during his final days. A private burial will be held on Tuesday April 14, 2020. Also, the family would like to extend their sincerest gratitude towards Baker Funeral Services, where his body has been entrusted to, for being very accommodating and understanding during this difficult time.
