Daniel Spencer age 78 of Norwalk, CT for 50 years. Entered into eternal rest at home on Tuesday, February 25, 2020. Daniel was born on April 23, 1941 in Charlotte Court House, Virginia. The son of the late Charlie Spencer and Bessie Boulden-Spencer. Daniel was retired from Norwalk Hospital where he worked for many years, in the Environmental Service Department. Daniel was a loving father with a quiet spirit. He loved listening to music, watching basketball games and western movies. Daniel was married to the late Velma Manning-Spencer. His legacy will continue with four sons Kareem Belk (Valerie) of New Brunswick, NJ., Jarrett Spencer (Kim) Queens, NY., Kwesi Spencer (Shawnelle) Atlanta, GA, Jarell Spencer (Crystal Brooklyn, NY., two Daughters Mellisa Manning and Andrea Manning both of Norwalk CT. Thirteen Grandkids, Nine Great Grands, a host of nieces and nephews and a good friend Sarah Spencer. Two Brother-in-laws Nathaniel Stacy and Delacey Maner. Three Sister-in-laws Ann Maner, Albertha Thigpen and Gardine Thigpen. Predeceased by one granddaughter Dana Seawright, Brothers, William Franklin Duarte, Charlie Spencer Jr., Garfield Spencer, three sisters Joy Chong, Lucy Allen Spraggins and Bessie Spencer Stacie. A celebration of Mr. Spencer's life will be held on Friday, March 6, 2020 at 11:00 AM, Canaan Institutional Baptist Church, 31 Concord Street, Norwalk, CT. Family will receive guests from 10:00 AM until time of service at the church. Interment will take place at Riverside Cemetery, 81 Riverside Ave, Norwalk, CT.
