Joseph Edward Toyfair III, 83, died peacefully on Monday, March 2, 2020 at his home in Norwalk. Born in Norwalk, the son of the late Joseph & Ruth (O’Bryon) Toyfair Jr., he was the loving husband of Barbara (Ruther) Toyfair for 63 years. Joseph served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict, and had worked for the City of Norwalk, retiring as a foreman. He was a member of The American Legion of Norwalk. Enjoyed Wood Crafts, candle making, and fishing. He is survived by his wife Barbara, sister Judy, daughters Michele, Renee and Susan of Norwalk, Grandchildren Tina, Jason, Ramon, Lisa, Noel, Jessica, and Kristin. 17 cherished great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. His family will receive friends on Thursday from 4-8 PM at the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Ave, Norwalk. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 AM on Friday, March 6 at the Magner Funeral Home, followed by burial with military honors will follow at Riverside Cemetery, 81 Riverside Ave, Norwalk. Memorial donations may be made to Autism Awareness (AutismSpeaks.org) or St. Jude Children’s Hospital (Stjude.org)
