Anthony Louis Thomas, 71, peacefully went home to be with the
Lord in paradise on Sunday morning, February 22, 2026 at
Norwalk Hospital. He was born on April 1, 1954 in Norwalk, CT
to Louis Noah Thomas and Annie Jane Thomas.
Anthony graduated from Brien McMahon High School, Class of
1972 and continued his education at The University of
Connecticut-Stamford Campus in Stamford, CT. His hobbies were
baseball, basketball, and reading.
He ultimately enjoyed life to the fullest. He was a man of
great faith deeply rooted in God. He lived with purpose, guided
by faith, and left a lasting impact on those around him. He had
a quiet compassionate spirit and an unwavering loyalty
toward his family. Family meant everything to him.
He is survived by his brother, Lee Thomas and his sister, Kathy
Thomas, both of Norwalk, CT; nephews Shaun Skrondale, of
Sioux Falls, SD and Jason Thomas (Emily) of Jacksonville, FL;
four great nieces, Trinity of Arizona and Taleah, Ariana, and
Alyuia of Sioux Falls, SD; and uncle, Benny Murphy (Catherine)
of Madison, FL.
Anthony was predeceased by his parents, Louis Noah Thomas and
Annie Jane Thomas; grandfather, Benny Murphy, Sr.;
grandmother, Fannie Murphy; uncles Pet (Mary) Mobley, Robert
(Lorraine) Wright, Alfred Murphy, and Edward (Jeanette) Murphy;
and aunts Ruthie Flowers and Dorothy Strozier.
