DeVonn Jaysen Porter, 42, passed away peacefully on November 4, 2025.
DeVonn was the son of Michael Porter, Sr. He was predeceased by his mother, Karen D. Little, his aunt, Debra Porter, and his Grandmother, Dorothy Porter.
In his youth, he played for the Norwalk Biddy League, AAU League, and attended the best 5-star basketball camps.
DeVonn attended Norwalk Public Schools and was an exceptional basketball standout, playing for Norwalk High School and Brien McMahon.
His talent earned him a nomination for the McDonald's All-American Team. He later attended Manchester Community College.
DeVonn enjoyed spending time with family and friends and was loved by many. Affectionally known as "Dezo", he leaves to cherish two sons, DaMire Porter and Armoni Jackson. A brother, Michael Porter Jr., sisters DeAndria (Tyron) Wilson and Monique Porter, nephews Tyron Wilson, Naz Nicholson, and Mikee Porter, and nieces Mikayla Porter, Chai Porter, and Tyla Wilson. A special uncle, Chief Roderick (Nicole) Porter, uncles William (Rose) Porter, Gregory (Cynthia) Little, and Leon (Kelly) Richardson. A special aunt, Debra M. Little, and Aunt Ms. Betty Richardson. Catherine (Prissy) Brayboy, whom he loved dearly as a mom. Godmother Marveida Tyson and a large contingent of cousins and friends.
