Shirl Lorraine Shaw, age 62, passed away peacefully on November 21, 2025, concluding a life marked by devotion, compassion, and strength. She was born on June 6, 1963, in Norwalk, CT, to Viola James Shaw of Norwalk, CT. and the late Cain Shaw. She was a loving daughter, mother, sister and aunt, deeply devoted to the well-being of her family. She was a committed and dedicated caregiver and served faithfully. She was employed as a certified nursing assistant with Caring Health, serving patients with kindness, dignity and tenderness. Her legacy of love will be treasured by her mother, Viola James Shaw; her daughter, Tamara Janine Shaw; two sisters, Cynthia Shaw Lee and husband Earl and Sheila Shaw; her brother, Dwayne Shaw and wife Jean, her niece, Shayla Shaw and nephew, Devin Shaw and a host of cousins and friends. Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 29, 2025, from 9:30 am – 10:30 am, followed by a service of celebration at 10:30 am at Bethel AME Church, 19 Academy St., Norwalk, CT., Rev. Dr. Richard Wesley Clarke officiant. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery, Norwalk.
