May Wilson Obituary

Ethel May Wilson, 82, of Norwalk, died on January 24, 2025 at The Greens in Wilton. Born in Glasgow, Scotland, daughter of the late Alexander and Georgina Fraser. May was predeceased by her loving and caring husband, William P. Wilson. She missed him so much. Additionally, May was predeceased by her siblings Alex, Finlay, Jack and Isobel.

May was a graduate of Adelphi Secondary School in Glasgow. May was very creative, and let her artistic talents shine through her work as a florist and a window dresser in Scotland. She came to the United States at the age of 18. Her strong faith, determination and courage enabled her to build her life here and raise a family. May worked hard to provide for her children and loved them always.

May enjoyed loving and spoiling her grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She enjoyed watching her British shows on Masterpiece, she enjoyed a good cup of tea with a shortbread biscuit. Most of all, she loved the Lord and is no longer in any pain. Those who loved her should find comfort in this.

May is survived by her three sons: John Edwards and his wife Cheryl and their daughter Olivia (Wilton, CT), Scott Edwards and his wife Diana and their children Ryan and Alexandra (Celebration, FL), and Michael Edwards (Clayton, IN). Additionally, May is survived by her sisters: Grace and her husband Simon Quinlan and their children Mark and Caragh May (London England), Nancy (Scotland) and Sheena (Canada). She is also survived by many loving cousins and friends.

Her family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 4 from 10-11 AM, with a prayer service, officiated by Pastor Gaylord Lemke, to begin at 11AM at the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Avenue, Norwalk. Burial will be held privately.

Flowers are most welcome and memorial donations may be made to:
