Sandy (Sandor) Farkas, 75, died on June 6, 2025 at his home in Norwalk. A Hungarian born in Germany, the son of Vilma (Horvath) Farkas, he was predeceased by his father, Sandor Farkas II and his sister, Liz Leonard.
He attended Norwalk public schools and worked as a painter and home improvement contractor. He enjoyed going to the horse races in Saratoga, baseball and bowling.
He was a member of the Pulaski Street Polish American Club for many years.
He is survived by two sons Jonathan S. Farkas and David S. Farkas, grandson Eric Farkas, as well as the mother of his children, Lisa Kavanaugh.
Graveside services will be held at 12 PM on Wednesday 6/11 at Riverside Cemetery, 81 Riverside Avenue, Norwalk.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (Stjude.org).
