Margot Clara Kish, 94, of Norwalk passed peacefully on April 1,2025. Born and raised in Goppingen Germany, the daughter of the late Alois and Frida (Maunz) Koniger, she was the beloved wife of the late Alexander S. Kish. She moved to the United States in 1950 and spent the rest of her life raising her family in Norwalk Connecticut.
Margot saw the world through beautiful eyes and could find happiness in the seemingly smallest things in life. She loved the beauty of nature and life. Her greatest joy was working in her garden and watching the various birds in her yard. She loved the fine arts – classical music, paintings, architecture, good books, performances and any museum she could get to.
She had a strong moral compass and a sense of compassion towards everyone that she met. She was accepting of everyone believing that there was good in every person and that we should be tolerant with all people. She never had a bad comment about anyone.
Margot always put others first before herself. She preferred to consider the wants and needs of others over her own without ever a complaint.
Margot was a gentle, loving mother, grandmother and friend you could share everything with. She will be remembered as a pillar of support for her family and friends. Margot’s legacy of kindness and strength will live on in the many lives that she touched.
She is survived by her sons Peter Kish and Neil Kish of Norwalk, daughter Alexis Landsman of Cary North Carolina, grandchildren Jessica Kish, Kimberly and Katherine Landsman, daughter-in -law Virginia (Heibler) Kish, brother Rolf Koniger of Germany and sister-in-law Julia (Kish) Hussey. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Alexander Kish, her brother Wolfgang Koniger and her son-in-law Richard Landsman.
There was a graveside service on April 9, 2025 at Riverside Cemetery, 81 Riverside Ave. Norwalk, CT.
