William S. Dillon Obituary

William S. Dillon, 92, a long time Norwalk resident, died on Thursday, March 27, 2025 at his home in Newtown. Born in New Canaan, the son of the late Christopher and Kathleen (Thompson) Dillon, he was predeceased by his five siblings. Bill was the loving husband of Faith (Carbone) Dillon for 67 years.


He graduated from The University of Connecticut, served in the US Navy, and worked as an advertising manager for The Hour for many years.


He enjoyed spending time with his family so much.


Bill is survived by his wife, Faith, daughter Melanie O’Connell and her husband Sean, and three cherished grandchildren; Sean O’Connell, Brendan O’Connell and Megan Sayegh and her husband Christian.


Graveside services will be held at noon on Thursday, April 3 at Riverside Cemetery, 81 Riverside Ave, Norwalk. His family will receive friends on Thursday, beginning at 11 AM at the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Avenue, Norwalk. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the UCONN Foundation (www.Foundation.UConn.edu)
