Vivian Lee Hussain 68, born August 9,1955, in Norwalk, Connecticut peacefully passed away on June 20, 2024, in Phoenix, Arizona. She was surrounded by her loving family. Vivian worked as a Teacher’s Assistant for the Dayton, Ohio school system for 15 yrs., and most recently as a Patient Care Associate for a loving family. She was a cherished mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to many. Vivian devoted her life to her family and leaves behind a profound legacy of love and compassion.

She was predeceased by her parents: Charles Lester and Jessie Lee Johnson of Norwalk, CT., and five siblings: Charles Johnson Jr., of Wilmington, Delaware; Reginald Johnson (Tina) of Dayton, OH; Robert Johnson of New Haven; Monique Simons (the late-Earlston Simons) of Norwalk, CT; Jamie Middlebrook, of New Haven, CT., who all now welcome her with open arms.

The beloved and cherished mother leaves to mourn her four children & two grandchildren: Fredrick Mullins (Yolanda), of Phoenix, Arizona; Courtney Gethers, of Phoenix, Arizona; Azzalee Gethers of Columbus, Ohio; and Charlene Allen also of Columbus, Ohio. The adored grandmother of: Domenic Tate of Las Vegas, NV, and Jai’Ana Montgomery of Columbus, Ohio. They brought immense joy to her life!

She is survived by seven sisters and one brother: Rhoda Bailey (the late – James Bailey) of Stratford, CT; Corlis McFadden (the late -Claude McFadden) of Dayton, Ohio; Irma Johnson, of Palm Dale, California; Joyce Dowty (the late – John Dowty) of New Haven, CT; Alethea Johnson-Cole (the late – Julius Cole) of Bridgeport, CT; Jason, Jody and Jennifer Middlebrook, all of New Haven, CT.

Vivian’s kindness extended beyond her immediate family. She will be fondly remembered by a host of nieces, nephews, and cherished friends, including Candace Boyd, Jayden, Jamar, and Jada Kelly; Ray and Stephanie Juvera, Janice Warrick, Rachel Smith, Jackie Nelson, Missy Stewart, James Jackson, Zack, Aman, Adrienne Scott, Rose Reynolds, Susan Khalfani, and Munir Hussain; whose lives she touched with her warmth and generosity.
