Allan passed away peacefully at the age of 93 on January 22nd at Notre Dame Rehabilitation Center. Allan was a Veteran of the U.S. Army, graduated the University of Bridgeport with a Chemistry degree and retired from the pharmaceutical industry.
Allan was married to Jean E. (Hughes), for 63 years. Allan and his wife were very dedicated to their family and enjoyed road trips travelling across the USA. He is survived by his children Allan R. Bardos (Irina) and Diane B. DiPietro (Alan); his seven grandchildren Steven Bardos, Jillian Bardos (Patrick Wenzel), John DiPietro (Emily Donovan), Joseph DiPietro (Brandy), Erin DiPietro (Anthony Russo), Svetlana Bardos and Alex Sokolov; and his three great grand-children Aayden, Brooklynn, and Leia DiPietro.
The family wants to thank all care givers, doctors, and facilities for getting to know him and providing the best care possible. His graveside memorial service will be Thursday, January 26, at 11 a.m. at Riverside Cemetery, 81 Riverside Avenue, Norwalk, CT – Collins Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the St. Jude Children’s Hospital in Allan’s memory.
