Anna Mae Havens Williams Anna Mae Havens Williams, aged 96, loving wife of the late John Williams, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family on March 21, 2021. Born on November 20, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Anna Stolba Havens and was a lifelong resident of Norwalk, CT. Mother to Lynne Williams Linnartz (Richard Linnartz) and John 'Jack' Williams (Fran Williams). Grandmother to Stacey Linnartz (Jeremy Rishe), Jason Williams (Gina Williams), Samantha Williams and Rachel Williams. Great-Grandmother to Winter and Autumn Williams. A graduate of Norwalk High School, class of 1942, Anna Mae worked at the Hat Corporation of America after graduation and while her husband John was in the Army during World War II. The couple built a house on the farm in Norwalk where she grew up. Anna Mae was the office manager for her husband's business and worked at the Norwalk Hour for 10 years. An active member of Trinity Episcopal Church in South Norwalk, Anna Mae served on the altar guild and as a Sunday school teacher. Subsequently a member of Grace Episcopal Church and now of St. Paul's Episcopal Church On The Green. Anna Mae was a wonderful cook and baker and she loved entertaining. A loyal friend, she had many from childhood over 90 years. An avid theatre-goer, Anna Mae, her husband, and friends enjoyed Broadway plays and New York City night life. As a teenager, she had a segment on WICC radio, singing and playing banjo. She had a lovely singing voice. Anna Mae loved taking walks, vacationing at Cape Cod every summer and sitting under the trees at Calf Pasture Beach. Her husband and family were her world. Anna Mae's life will be celebrated on Thursday, March 25th at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul's Episcopal Church On The Green. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Norwalk, CT.
